Community Guidelines
MixTale is for telling stories in songs. Dark stories are welcome: horror, crime and heartbreak are all part of storytelling. These guidelines are about what crosses the line. They apply to everything you publish, including your name and picture, and including what the AI wrote for you.
Make it yours
- Don't publish other people's lyrics, poems or stories as your own.
- Don't use real artists' names to imitate them.
- Don't impersonate anyone, including another creator, a celebrity or MixTale itself.
- Don't use names, logos or characters you don't have the rights to.
Not allowed
- Hate: attacking or demeaning people for their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, age or nationality.
- Harassment and threats: bullying, threatening or targeting anyone, and stories about real private people meant to mock, shame or harm them.
- Sexual content: explicit sexual lyrics, covers or pictures.
- Anything sexualising children: there's zero tolerance. We remove the account and report it to the authorities.
- Violence: graphic gore, glorifying real violence or terrorism, or calls to hurt anyone. Fictional danger and suspense are fine.
- Self-harm: encouraging suicide, self-harm or eating disorders.
- Dangerous and illegal acts: instructions for weapons or drugs, or promoting illegal activity.
- Private information: sharing anyone's address, phone number or other personal details.
- Spam and scams: misleading or repetitive content, or trying to trick or defraud people.
AI-made content
MixTale's AI writes lyrics and makes songs and covers from what you tell it. You're responsible for what you publish, even if the AI wrote it. If the AI makes something offensive or harmful, don't publish it. Report it instead: use Report these lyrics on the Review step, or Report this cover when choosing a cover. That helps us make the AI better.
Reporting and blocking
- Reporting a story: on its page, tap ⋯ and choose Report story.
- Reporting a creator: on their page, tap ⋯ and choose Report.
- Blocking someone: on their page or one of their stories, tap ⋯ and choose Block. You won't see their stories, and neither of you will follow the other. They aren't told. You can unblock them from Profile, under Blocked people.
Reports are private: the person reported is never told who reported them.
What happens next
- We review reports. When several people report the same story, it leaves Discover straight away until we've reviewed it. Its creator sees it marked “Under review”.
- Content that breaks these guidelines is taken down.
- Serious or repeated breaches can lead to an account being suspended or removed.
